What better way to celebrate and honor those who entertained, comforted and inspired the troops of World War II, and those here on the home front, than with the 2008 Stone Energy Victory Ball, this year themed “Thanks for the Memories.”
A black-tie affair chaired by John and Sylvia Laborde and Cappy and Darlene Bisso, the lavish affair will feature a gourmet dinner and dancing to the stylings of The One and Only Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Also present will be guest of honor, World War II veteran and award-winning actor and writer Carl Reiner. While you’re there, take a peak at the expansion of The National World War II Museum – the construction of the Stage Door Canteen is underway!
So, on June 7, put on your swing dancing shoes, your best black-tie and head on over to The National World War II Museum’s Louisiana Memorial Pavilion to celebrate
those who entertained, and continue to entertain, during a time of
war. For more information, call 527-6012 x329 or visitwww.nationalww2museum.org.
