WYES commemorates the final season of PBS’ most watch drama, “Downtown Abbey,” with a red carpet event beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a Patron Party, with the Gala following at 8 p.m., at the home of Lisa and Tripp Ludwig in Metairie. They encourage you to wear period attire in keeping with the theme, and tickets range from $100 for Junior guests to $500 for Patrons.
WYES has a second “Downton Abbey”-themed event that also encourages period attire occurring this month on Thursday, January 14. “An Afternoon with WYES: ‘Downton Abbey’ Tea and Wine, Too!” will take place at the home of Frances and Calvin Fayard on St. Charles Avenue starting with a Patron Champagne Reception at 2 p.m. with the Tea following an hour later. Tickets for this event are $100 for the Tea and $175 for the Patron Champagne Reception.
