Open Call for Entries For Darryl Chappell Foundation Photographer-in-Residence Program at Ogden Museum

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The application is open to Afrodescendants 21+ who have been practicing photography for the past five years. Candidates from across the globe will be reviewed, but strong consideration will be given to photographers living and working in the rural American South.

Ogden Museum’s curatorial department and residency mentor will review photographer-in-residence applicants and select the final candidate based on the criteria and selection process determined in collaboration with the Darryl Chappell Foundation.

The selected photographer will work closely with the Ogden Museum curatorial department, meeting with Photography Curator Richard McCabe and also with local mentor, photographer L. Kasimu Harris, to grow and foster the resident’s connections and presence within the New Orleans arts community.
