Our New Favorite Sandwich: The Shirt Sandwich
Still from Row Fall ‘2024

There’s a new sandwich in town and it’s not a po-boy. It’s a shirt sandwich. Although not edible, this tongue-in-cheek titled layering technique promises a new way to make your existing wardrobe more palatable. Can’t decide what to wear? No need to narrow it down. With this style you are required to sport at least two layers underneath your outermost. For example, if your outfit were a po-boy, your jacket and pants serve as the French bread, then your T-shirt, vest etc. wedge in as your shrimp, lettuce and mayo! Depending on the weather, you can add as many layers as you want. It all simply depends on how sloppy you like your po-boy – er outfit. Here are a few great pieces to start with, if you can’t source it all from your own closet!

Also, keep in mind, local shops like Lakan can custom fit an entire outfit for you based on how many layers you want.
