As a resident of Bossier City in northwest Louisiana for four years, we are very proud of our new Louisiana Boardwalk, which was briefly noted in the “Around Louisiana” section of your magazine in the Summer 2005 issue.
The issue which I note is that the Boardwalk is in Bossier City, not Shreveport. Thank you for your attention.

It was nice to see the mention of the new Boardwalk in the Northern Louisiana report in the Summer 2005 issue.
Unfortunately, you made a mistake. You attributed the location of the Boardwalk as Shreveport. The Boardwalk is a nice addition to the tourism industry in Louisiana, in which Shreveport obviously plays a part also, but the tax dollars that built the Boardwalk and the tax revenue generated from the Boardwalk came from and will go to Bossier City, not Shreveport.
Shreveport does have a fine riverfront park (but) to confuse the two (riverfront developments) is a slap in the face to the city officials and developers in Bossier City who worked hard to put the project together.
