MANDEVILLE, La (press release) – There are three separate events: a songwriter showcase (tickets $60 & $120); two days of educational workshops; and two days of free live music – including a songwriter contest.
Friday night – The Ozone Songwriter Festival Showcase: Kicking off the festival, is a live ticketed music event Nov. 3 –The headliner this year is Jason Scheff, longtime lead vocalist for Chicago. Joining Jason will be Grammy nominated, Emmy-winner, Greg Barnhill (Walkaway Joe), with special guests – three finalists from NBC’s hit show, The Voice: Gabriel Thomas Broussard, Kim Cruse, and Morgan Myles. The intimate setting at the Spoke & Barrel Brewpub allows for listeners to truly enjoy the songwriter style of the show. Limited tickets are available for both General Admission ($60 – 6:45 p.m. entry) and for the VIP Experience ($125 – 5 p.m. entry), where you get to meet the artists. VIP tickets also include dinner and drinks.
Saturday & Sunday – The Ozone Songwriter Festival: Featuring two free family friendly days of original music featuring over 120 local, regional, and international performers. Performances will be on 4 stages to choose the music you wish to hear, both indoors and outdoors. Admission is free for all of the Saturday and Sunday performances.
The Ozone Songwriter Contest winners will be announced on Saturday at 5pm on the main stage, and the winning artists will perform their songs. It promises to be another fabulous weekend for music lovers.
Saturday & Sunday – The Ozone Songwriter Workshop: This educational event has been expanded to 2-days! Free to students and $30 for adults.
