NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Over the past few months, the husband-and-wife chef duo behind Palm&Pine, Amarys and Jordan Herndon, have been hosting an exclusive dinner party series, Trust Us.
The Trust Us series is a culinary experience with only 16 seats available for each dinner. Making for an intimate setting, guests are all seated facing the kitchen counter while Chefs Jordan and Amarys cook a multi-course menu, pour paired wine and talk about the ingredients and techniques for each dish. Each dinner revolves around a chosen theme, and previous themes have included “More Funk for Your Funkin’ Ass”, “Mexican Vacation” and “It’s Hot, We’re Chill.”
For Palm&Pine’s final dinner in this series, they’ve decided to spill the beans and spread the word. Happening on Wednesday, Sept. 18, the “Back to Old School” dinner will pay tribute to the cuisine Jordan and Amarys learned while working in the grand dames of New Orleans restaurants. This dinner will also spotlight Old World Wines and will include special guest, Andy Principe, the Herndon’s business partner, who will share his extensive knowledge and will even be bringing a few special bottles from his personal collection.
