Paradigm Gardens too Host Concert Series Night Benefiting Jamaica Hurricane Relief

NEW ORLEANS (press release) โ€“ย In light of the recent catastrophic damage from Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica,ย Paradigm Gardensย โ€“ in collaboration with theย NOLA Reggae Festย and theย Jamaica Tourist Boardย โ€“ has announced a turn in the Concert Series night (Tuesday, Nov. 18) into another benefit dinner for Jamaica Hurricane Relief.ย

Onย Tuesday, Nov. 18, Paradigm Gardens will be hosting its award-winning Concert Series night, but with a Caribbean twist: Jamaican themed food and music withย 100% of the proceeds going towards Jamaica hurricane relief.ย

โ€œWe know what it is to be crushed by a hurricane, we have an obligation to help our Jamaican brothers and sisters,โ€ย said Paradigm Gardens owner Joel Hitchcock in a release about the event.ย โ€œThe collaboration with the NOLA Reggae Fest & Jamaica Tourist Board has allowed us to pivot and create this wonderful event.โ€

The NOLA Reggae Fest was rescheduled from last weekend toย Nov. 14 & 15 because of weather here in New Orleans and in Jamaica (many artistsโ€™ flights were cancelled because of the impending hurricane and they were stranded in Jamaica).

The Paradigm Gardens team shared though they just hosted a Jamaica benefit dinner, there still more can be done:ย โ€œWe have an opportunity to help a lot of people in Jamaica so we didnโ€™t want to waste the chance to do some good,โ€ย said Hitchcock.ย

The event will feature food from five restaurants:ย BARU, MISTER MAO, KINGSWAY, HERE TODAY, & BRASA.ย

In addition to all ticket sale proceeds going towards hurricane relief, the event will also feature a silent auction with great Caribbean themed items from local business as well as event sponsor, The Jamaica Tourist Board. The Jamaica Tourist Board (who was scheduled to start direct flights from New Orleans to Montego Bay next month) is donating two all inclusive stays at award-winning resorts (SeaGardens Beach Resort & Couples Resort)
