Bogue Falaya Park in Covington was full of springtime fun on March 20. The afternoon’s sunny weather perfectly
corresponded with the annual Chefs Soiree presented by Capital One Bank, a fundraiser that benefits the Youth Service Bureau of St. Tammany.
The organization uses proceeds to provide troubled or at-risk youth and their families with programs of prevention and early intervention that enable them to choose a new direction and become responsible community members. Heath and Beth Ann Evans served as honorary chairs of the event.
Gate-opening festivities were led by the New Orleans Hornets Drumline, and for the rest of the afternoon and evening, guests tasted delicacies from top restaurants in the area and enjoyed musical performances by Burgundy, Line King Dancers, Hurricane Levee Band, The Wagners and The Wiseguys. The evening ended with a fireworks show.
