On Sunday, December 5, the Anti-Defamation League held its A.I. Botnick Torch of Liberty Award Dinner honoring Stephen H. Kupperman and U.S. Attorney Jim Letten. The event took place at The Roosevelt New Orleans, beginning with a cocktail reception for the honorees and ending with a dinner and program.

Letten was honored for his career as a public servant who has demonstrated great leadership in achieving justice for the community by prosecuting and convicting corrupt public officials, pursuing violent criminals and exposing fraud.

Kupperman, a nationally recognized attorney who specializes in business litigation, is a founding member of Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, LLC. He was honored for his civic endeavors and his dedication to community service. He is a former chairman of the Anti-Defamation League’s South-Central Regional Board and a former board chair of Jewish Family Service and has served in a variety of leadership positions for nonprofit community organizations.

The Torch of Liberty Award Dinner was co-chaired by Steve and Melanee Gaudin Usdin and Jim and Jan Maselli Mann. The Anti-Defamation League is a social justice and human relations organization that combats prejudice and bigotry.
