NEW ORLEANS (press release) – In two weeks, join in for the 21st Year of PATOIS: The New Orleans International Human Rights Film Festival!
The festival will have new films and speakers and events, including the premiere (after winning an award at Sundance 2024) of a new film about workers fighting Amazon. Experience films about: Palestine’s most famous political prisoner; sex and disability justice, the legacy of Fannie Lou Hamer, the journey of displaced migrants, carnival in Haiti, reproductive justice, lesbian community in 1990’s London, organizing against a new cop academy in Chicago; dramas from Trinidad and Palestine, and much more.
PATOIS 2024 will open with a special event at The Marigny Opera House on March 6, and be at the Broad Theater March 7-10.
