NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Peacock Room, the elegant and vibrant cocktail bar at the heart of New Orleans’ Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, will be hosting a special Proud and Loud Drag Brunch on Saturday, June 11.
Join in celebration of New Orleans Pride with Peacock Room’s drag brunch extravaganza, sponsored by Grey Goose Essences. There will be performances from two drag queens and one drag king every half hour from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. Brunch service will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will consist of the regular a la carte menu. Reservations are recommended, and the show is complementary. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project.
The Flock To Me is Peacock Room’s official Pride cocktail. They will be donating $1 from each cocktail sold in June to The Trevor Project. And Grey Goose Essences will be matching the donation. Flock To Me is made with Grey Goose Essences Watermelon Basil, Vodka, honeydew, falernum, lemon, butterfly pea flower.
The hotel continues to welcome stellar music performances in the beautiful and intimate space at Peacock Room, including the following:
–Thursdays 8-10 p.m.: Da Lovebirds, led by contemporary jazz singer and “the songbird of New Orleans,” Robin Barnes
– Sundays 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Jazz Brunch with Rachel Murray
– Sundays 7-9 p.m.: Ruth Marie
