NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Kimpton Hotel Fontenot has partnered with Saint Michèle Atelier for a special pop-up event at Peacock Room on Saturday, Nov. 16. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., designer Zay Morris – founder for the multidisciplinary house producing quality garments utilizing experimental design and sustainable product creation – will be making and selling designs on site.
With DJ Pedro the Juice providing the tunes between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., the bar and kitchen at Peacock Room will be offering delicious drinks and bites from the brunch menu for sale. The Peacock Brunch Tower leads with its caviar & potato cakes, summer truffle deviled eggs, crispy Gulf oysters, salt & pepper shrimp, petite quiche Lorraine, shaved prosciutto di parma, pimento cheese & creole cracklins’. The menu has plenty of sweet and savory options to tantalize your taste buds, like the Louisiana Shrimp Benedict, Peacock Smash Burger, Bourbon Pecan Sticky Buns, and Banana Bread French Toast.
Peacock Room also has a great selection of “Party Starters” for brunching with a group, like the Chambong Spritz with St. Germain and bubbles for two or eight people, and the Pineapple Express with Absolut Elyx, Pimm’s, Tepache, strawberry, lemon, Cava served in a copper pineapple punch bowl for six to eight people. Individual brunch cocktail favorites include the savory yet thirst-quenching Jade Dragon and the Washoku Marii, their version of a bloody mary with Japanese influence.
