Percolate on This

Midcentury Danish design is the best part of waking up

While we take our coffee year-round in all of its forms, there’s something about a piping hot cup of joe from a percolator — especially a vintage model — that is synonymous with autumnal coziness. The Danes know a thing or two about both coziness and design, so when we spied this 1950s Dansk Kobenstyle turquoise percolator at Seasoned, we knew it was exactly the percolator of our hygge dreams. This elegant stovetop coffee maker was designed by the Danish sculptor-turned-designer Jens Quistgaard for Dansk and manufactured in Denmark between 1955 and 1959. It is a rare find: a first production run piece. The enameled steel body is awash in midcentury turquoise and the wicker-wrapped handle adds both texture and tactile warmth. seasonednola.com
