Perschall – Gomila

Whitney Evans Gomila was out with his friends for an “Annual Guys Night Out” while Ashley Elizabeth Perschall was celebrating with her girlfriends the end of the Katrina Curfew in New Orleans when the two groups met up at Pat O’Brien’s and hung out far into the night.

Whitney and Ashley had mutual friends in the same group and quickly became friends; two years later they started dating.

On December 31, 2010 Whitney said that he and Ashley were going to the Palace Café for dinner and then meeting up with a group of people downtown. Whitney called Ashley to ask her to come to his house because he didn’t have time to pick her up. When Ashley arrived to Whitney’s house, she had to wait around because Whitney was “not ready” to go out yet. Whitney finally called Ashley to the back room to ask her if she liked what he was wearing. When Ashley replied yes and asked why he wanted to know he simply stated “Because I want to look good when I give you this!” and presented her with a diamond ring.

Ashley immediately said yes and the two went to the Palace Café to celebrate then end of 2010 and the start of their engagement. After dinner, they met up with friends in the French Quarter Bar in the Ritz-Carlton to enjoy listening to Jeremy Davenport. Davenport even sang directly to the engaged couple!
