NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Picnic Provisions & Whiskey is excited to help you eat lighter and stick to your resolutions in the year 2020. Their new winter menu offers two new delicious and unique salads, as well as new Eat Fit options.
On the lighter side, the Wild Shrimp Remoulade Salad ($14) includes garlic marinated tomatoes, piquillo peppers and crispy onion straws topped with chilled shrimp remoulade. The new Cilantro Lime Grilled Chicken Salad ($13) features caramelized onions, crispy black beans, Cotija cheese and a satisfying sprinkle of “broken” house saltines. The hungry guest who is looking for lower-carbohydrate options will appreciate these healthful but filling salads.
In addition, two menu items can be easily adapted to meet Eat Fit standards with a few changes: the Wild Shrimp Remoulade Croissant and the Chargrilled Naked Chicken Sandwich.
Finally, Chef de Cuisine Wes Graf is making his mark on the kitchen by adding a few signature dishes for the New Year including the Cajun Potato Salad with crawfish boiled potatoes, pressed eggs, sweet corn and crushed jalapeno Zapp’s ($6) and the sure-to-be-famous Mexican Street Corn Skillet that is covered in the restaurant’s already famous cilantro lime sauce ($4).
