Pigskin and Perfect Cocktails


Football Fans, we are here for you! There are so many amazing happy hours around town to get a good deal and watch the game while sipping your favorite libation. But some may argue that the best seat in the house is on your couch.

If you do chose to stay home, it will be fun to call some friends over to enjoy in the merriment. But what will you drink? Can you make some of the best cocktails around? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Here are a few ideas for great drinks that you can make in your home bar or kitchen. We guarantee your friends and family will love them and, best of all, they’re easy.

Drink Up, Nola Tip: It’s a good idea to make a large pitcher before the gang arrives. That way you can be worry free throughout the game without missing any of the action.


Long Island Iced Tea

  • 25 ml of light rum
  • 25 ml of vodka
  • 25 ml of gin
  • 25 ml of tequila
  • 25 ml of lime juice
  • Coke
  1. Mix all of the ingredients along with the lime juice.
  2. Pour into a glass over ice.
  3. Top off with coke and your Long Island Iced Tea is now ready.

Lemon Drop

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1.5 oz of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • Lemonade
  1. Wet the rim of the glass and roll it in sugar.
  2. Mix the vodka and the lemon juice together in the glass.
  3. Top if off with lemonade.

Tequila Sunrise

  • 1.5 oz of tequila
  • 1 oz of grenadine
  • 6 oz of orange juice
  1. Mix the tequila and orange juice together.
  2. Pour into a glass over ice.
  3. Slowly pour in the grenadine, allowing it to settle at the bottom of the glass. It’ll look like a sunrise!
