NEW ORLEANS (press release) – GRAMMY-award winning musician PJ Morton released his eagerly awaited, first-ever gospel album, Gospel According to PJ (Morton Inspiration/Tyscot Records), and is proud to share that lead single, “All In His Plan” featuring Le’Andria Johnson & Mary Mary, has reached #1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart. This is PJ’s first #1 as a solo artist, following consecutive Grammy wins in R&B categories in 2019 and 2020.

Gospel According to PJ is PJ Morton’s sixth self-released, self-produced LP in the past three years. Earlier in 2020, the native New Orleanian won the Grammy for Best R&B Song, released The Piano Album, earned his first NAACP Image Award nominations, and launched The Culture, a weekly trivia show celebrating Black art and entertainment that has welcomed Questlove, Angela Rye, Omari Hardwick, Lalah Hathaway, Bakari Sellers and more.
