As more and more Louisianians are vaccinated, many businesses are opening, and festivals and events are starting to make their way to our fall 2021 calendars. Though the coronavirus pandemic is still very prevalent, it’s nice to think some things can get back to a glimmer of normal.
One group planning for a full fall 2021 is the team at ‘Broadway in New Orleans.’ Artists and Broadway/theater employees were hit as hard as job sectors like hospitality workers during quarantine, and the newly released schedule of the next Broadway in New Orleans season is another ounce of hope for the future after COVID-19.
The new upcoming season lineup doesn’t include some of the productions that were supposed to arrive in the fall 2020 season – like “Moulin Rouge” (Kelly here: upset about this one) – but does include some other big Broadway names, such as “Anastasia,” “Cats” and “Hamilton.”
Though musicals or plays may not be for everyone, a date night away from your house or backyard should be welcomed in any shape or form. But this year’s Broadway in New Orleans lineup does offer a night of fun for everyone, including your bridesmaids, best man or little flower girls or ring bearers, making it a perfect date night or family night solution.
