John Magill is a curator and historian at The Historic New Orleans Collection. In this podcast, Magill explains what happened to the remains of the two New Orleans World's Fairs of 1884 and 1984, and he describes how they each contributed to the city's development. He tells us about the origins of Audubon Park and explains the role the park played during the World Fair of 1884. Magill also talks about how a large rock in Audubon Park that many thought was a meteorite came to be there. Listen as Magill describes the connection that some New Orleans houses have with the 1884 World's Fair.
