The Louisiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation held a Motown extravaganza for their annual Uncork the Cure on December 29 at Republic New Orleans. DJ 007 kept the hits coming as 200-plus guests sampled wines and scrumptious bites such as Jacques-Imo’s Shrimp and Alligator Sausage Cheesecake and Vega Tapas Café’s Serrano Wrapped Quail.

The foundation raised more than $26,000 with help from the popular live and silent auctions that kept the holiday spirit of giving and receiving alive. Bidders competed for a Miami getaway, a private home dinner for eight with Chef Chuck Subra from La Côte Brasserie and an autographed Drew Brees cleat; while the silent auction offered an editorial cartoon of Tiger Woods among the 60 or so items up for bid.

In the festively decorated VIP venue, under gold records suspended from the ceiling, special guests included members from sponsors American Airlines; AT&T; BP; French Quarter RV; LAMMICO; Marvin LeBlanc State Farm Agency; Miller; New Orleans Zephyrs; Republic National Distributing; Sibley Gallery; and Treasure Chest Casino.
