NEW ORLEANS – This Saturday, June 8, SoBou Nola will host Poppy’s Pop-Up Drag Brunch from 11 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.
Drag queen entertainers will include Debbie With A D (Joey Bean), Laveau Contraire, Lana O’Day, Sunshine Edae and Jessica Champagne and there will be a special appearance by Mondo Guerra from Bravo TV’s “Project Runway.”
The event includes a pre-fixe menu with bottomless Bellinis.
Menu includes:
Course 1 – SANGRIA SALAD (EAT FIT)
St. Germain Elderflower, Don Q Rum and white wine infused Louisiana berries with baby greens, marinated cucumbers, roasted piquillo peppers and a boozy sangria vinaigrette
Course 2 – DUCK LEGS & EGGS
Crispy confit leg of duck with house made boudin, a “5 hour egg”, local citrus and Grand Marnier pepper jelly
Course 3 – TOULOUSE RED ABSINTHE SOAKED STRAWBERRIES
Pontchatoula strawberries, honey whipped Creole cream cheese and crumbled pecan sandies
