Danielle Del Sol is the new executive director for the Preservation Resource Center (PRC).
Del Sol succeeds long time preservation advocate, Patty Gay, who volunteered with the PRC at its inception in 1974 and became executive director in 1980. In this interview, Del Sol gives an overview of the PRC’s focus and describes some of the organization’s most important initiatives. One of those projects is the “Rebuilding Together New Orleans” program. As Del Sol explains, for this community program “We go into neighborhoods all over the city to help low income, elderly home owners with repairs.” In March, the PRC will host a “First Saturday Art Walk” evening reception to showcase the historic New Orleans architectural images of local photographer and national Instagram celebrity, Jennifer Hance. The two-hour reception will begin at 7:00 p.m. on March 3 at 923 Tchoupitoulas St.
