Funds raised at the gala this year are helping to fund the installation of a state-of-the-art minimally invasive air-conditioning system in the Hermann-Grima House that will better preserve the house and the collection for the next 100 years.
Event Co-Chairs were Susan Johnson, Mathilde Currence and Betsey Todd. Kim and Jamey Roddy opened their beautiful Garden District home on Seventh Street, which was recently renovated and restored, for the evening gala.
Catering was provided by Calcasieu of the Link Restaurant Group, with items including West Indies Fried Chicken with Pepper Vinegar, Lamb Skewers with Tzatziki Sauce, Beef Short Ribs, Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs, Fried Blue Crab Beignets and Lecho Asado. The Gumbo Trio performed live musical entertainment in the Roddy’s backyard.
Over one-hundred-twenty patrons attended the gala. More than $95,000 was raised and will be the key to this project’s success as well as the continued preservation and operation of both house museums.
