On Friday, November 6, the Patron Party for the 15th Annual Poydras Home Art Show brought supporters of the Magazine Street organization to mix, mingle and get a sneak preview of the two-day art show on the lovely campus.
Errol and Peggy Scott Laborde teamed up as the honorary chairs of the evening. Wining and dining guests were treated to the music of Deacon John and a first look at the juried art exhibition led by Mary Len Costa. Co-chairs were Julianne Gable and Emily Hammett and headlining sponsors were Luzianne and Whitney Bank.
The Art Show weekend was free and open to the public, and brings more than 2,500 artworks by area artists to the home. Founded in 1817, the Poydras Home is the “only continuing care retirement community in the Greater New Orleans area post-Katrina that offers the full continuum of care to senior men and women, from adult day services to Alzheimer’s care.”
