Pro Bono Parties

Twenty-first annual Justice for All Ball.

Lady Justice led the way on a balmy Friday, October 9 at Gallier Hall, for the 21st annual Justice for All Ball, in support of the Pro Bono Project. Patrons were welcomed at 8 p.m. by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Charter Middle School Marching Band, and the Joe Krown Band rocked the dance floor 9 p.m. until midnight. LexisNexis, Jones Walker, Baker Donelson and Adams & Reese were this year’s corporate sponsors, while Andrea’s Restaurant and Catering handled details for food and beverage on behalf of the Pro Bono Project. This year’s honorary chairman was Bob Brown, managing director of the Business Council of New Orleans. A donor patron party, held before the main event, featured tasty treats provided by Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. The evening also had spectacular items up for auction, including a one-week yachting excursion on the Oceana and original art from Martha Allen, a New Orleans native, currently living and working in New York, who also designed this year’s invitation. Proceeds from this year’s festivities benefit the Pro Bono Project’s continuing efforts of providing free, quality legal services to the poor. They serve clients in many parishes, including St. Tammany, Orleans, Jefferson and St. Bernard.
