Whether it’s to the couple saying “I Do” or the bride gifting her maids a thank you, a need for that special wedding gift is always on the minds of everyone involved in the festivities. Lucky for New Orleanians, there is no shortage of artists and business owners around the city offering up the perfect solution to the gifting process.
Recently, we have come across a few shops and items that we love for many wedding needs.
First is a stemless wine glass from Fleurty Girl. This “Bride Tribe” glass offers a cute addition to a bridesmaid’s “thank you” basket or a gift to bring to the bachelorette party.
The second item is a small bowl and spoon combo inscribed with “It’s five o’guac somewhere” and “Holy Guacamole.” This set from Phina in Metairie is great for a small couples shower item or to add into a kitchen set at the bridal shower. It’s sure to get a laugh, and maybe the couple will invite you over for some guacamole and margaritas.
Finally, local makeup artist Meggan Ory with Makeup by Meggan has launched her own lipgloss, in shades “Bride Kiss” and “Glow.” You can use the more neutral shaded glosses alone or combine for a sweet, light peach tint. These glosses can be gifted to any woman involved in the big day, from grandma of the bride to maid of honor.
Extra: A few days ago, Ory gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek of her new “Rose Gold” lipgloss. “I like to use it as a lip highlight,” she notes in the photo caption. “It adds the perfect amount of sparkle and makes the lip appear very full.”
