NEW ORLEANS (press release) – For one night only, The Prytania Theatres at Canal Place will be partnering with the ACLU LA for a screening of Battleground on Tuesday, October 11, at 7:30 p.m. Battleground tells the story of three women who lead the charge in their single-minded quest to overturn Roe v. Wade, as they face down forces equally determined to safeguard women’s access to safe and legal abortions.
At the screening, ACLU LA will have a table set up for advocacy around abortion rights, and they will introduce the movie beforehand. Tickets are on sale now, and all proceeds will be going to ACLU LA.
