Raphael Village’s “Soraparu Soirée”

 

Raphael Village hosted the 10th annual “Soraparu Soirée” themed “Spreading Our Wings” in support of differently labeled people in becoming fully engaged in life and community. The evening included gourmet delicacies, delicious libations, a silent and live auction and an electric bike raffle.

Dr. Julia Garcia-Diaz was recognized as the Honoree. A parent at Raphael Academy for many years, Dr. Garcia-Diaz is an infectious disease doctor at Ochsner and has been working diligently to help put an end to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Garcia-Diaz is serving as Ochsner’s Principal Investigator on the efficacy of the Pfizer vaccine for adolescents.

John Gros and The Freddie Lonzo Jazz Ensemble provided live entertainment.

The Committee included Jerry and Ida Gaughan; John and Stacey Olson; Yvonne Sartin; and Catherine Robbins. Mary Perrin served as Food & Libations Chair, and the Auction Co-Chairs were Monique Sobrino and Margo Lulich Whiteside.
