Rayo and Handshake Speakeasy, two of the best bars in Mexico City, will be joining forces with Miami’s The Sylvester, for an afternoon of sustainable sipping, in partnership with Cuervo Tradicional. Showcasing the innovative ways Cuervo repurpose bagasse, the byproduct of their tequila production, the Sustainable Sips pop-up will feature specialty cocktails crafted by these award-winning teams, alongside Mexican bites and live DJ sets from Cuervo’s own DJ Collective. Rayo and Handshake Speakeasy will bring their effervescent energy and acclaimed cocktails to New Orleans’ Cure, on Thursday, July 25, from 3-6 p.m. In partnership with José Cuervo, and in celebration of this year’s Tales of the Cocktail, the Mexican takeover will showcase Rayo’s vibrant, artisanal cocktails, made using unconventional methods and cutting-edge mixology techniques.
