A resident of the French Quarter for over 45 years and a Realtor for over 40 years, Michael Wilkinson remains a staple of the Greater New Orleans real estate market and is still as busy as ever.
“I’m not dead yet,” laughs Michael. “In fact, I still love what I’m doing; getting to meet people, help them navigate the pitfalls of the real estate market. Every day is interesting and exciting, especially in New Orleans.”
As co-owner of FQR Realty, Michael is intimately familiar with the unique characteristics of New Orleans’ historic buildings and neighborhoods and specializes in historic properties. Specializing in French Quarter properties, he has spent much of his career as one of the city’s top-producing agents. With a deep knowledge of New Orleans, its history, and the character that makes it so unique, Michael brings a thoughtful, modern approach to buying and selling some of the city’s oldest buildings.
“Meeting interesting people and finding unique properties have always fascinated me, a perfect combo for working and living in New Orleans,” says Michael. “This career isn’t what I expected I would devote my life to doing, but I love that I can continue to do it at a high level.”

Michael Wilkinson didn’t plan on becoming a real estate agent. He originally came to New Orleans to attend seminary and become a Catholic priest. While his path took a different direction, it led him to a career that has kept him deeply connected to the history, architecture, and people of the city he came to love.
