Real Proposal: Norman and Greg

When we interviewed Stacey Asaro of Project Proposal back in July, we knew with her background she had the skills to plan the most amazing of proposals. What we did not realize is she could, in fact, deliver a picturesque proposal in about a week.

Asaro says Project Proposal’s goal is to take the pressure off of the person proposing so they can focus on the moment. When Norman called Asaro a week before he and his boyfriend Greg were coming to New Orleans, she knew just how to execute his plan.

On a beautiful afternoon, Norman and Greg had a picnic on the river at Crescent City Park in the Bywater. As the Steamboat Natchez floated by, Norman got down on one knee and asked Greg to marry him.

As part of the package provided to the couple, the picnic basket used was packed full of picnic essentials. Unfortunately, because the couple lives in New York, they weren't able to bring the basket back home with them. Asaro says she wanted to spoil her clients in every way, so she planned a little surprise of her own. She had the basket shipped to New York and had it waiting for Norman and Greg when they returned home. Asaro says, "it’s the details that make all the difference."
