Planning your wedding on a holiday isn’t always the best idea. But when Aimee Hyatt and Dr. John Marshall Whatley decided to get married on New Years Eve, it was important to get it just right. Though it was a bit cold and chilly that Dec. 31, 2016, that didn’t deter from the wedding festivities. The Whatleys were married in the picturesque Felicity Church before heading downtown for food and fun at the Windsor Court Hotel. It was raining outside, but the Boogie Men kept the party going on the inside and, as the rain subsided, the new Mr. and Mrs. and their guests enjoyed the new year fireworks and their second kiss as husband and wife.
