NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) recently announced its summer camp offerings for 2025! Please note that we will be repeating themes during the summer and we ask that you only sign up for one of each session to accommodate other families and kiddos.
Registration opens at 10 a.m. on Feb. 17.
Little Chefs on the Lagoon
May 27 – 30 and June 30 – July 3
Join the Louisiana Children’s Museum for Little Chefs on the Lagoon! Campers will explore cooking, discover where food comes from, and build healthy eating habits. With hands-on recipes and outdoor fun by the lagoon, campers will develop kitchen skills and a love for wholesome food.
Mini Maestros
June 2 – 6 and July 7 – 11
Discover the joy of music at the Louisiana Children’s Museum’s Mini Maestros summer camp! Kids will explore different instruments, learn about various musical styles, and create their own tunes using DIY instruments. Get ready for a fun-filled musical adventure that sparks creativity and rhythm.
Tails of the Lagoon
June 9 -13 and July 14 -18
Dive into nature at the Louisiana Children’s Museum’s Tails of the Lagoon summer camp! Kids will explore the native plants and animals of our lagoons while discovering why this unique habitat and its water are vital for wildlife and humans alike. It’s a week of outdoor adventure, hands-on learning, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
Aspiring Architects
June 16 – 20 and July 21 -25
Discover the world of design and creativity at the Louisiana Children’s Museum! Explore geometry, New Orleans architecture, animal builders, bridges, and more. Campers will unleash their imagination through hands-on activities, including building their own marble run.
Museum Mysteries
June 23 -27 and July 28 – Aug 1
Put on your detective hat at the Louisiana Children’s Museum’s Museum Mysteries summer camp! Campers will solve puzzles, embark on scavenger hunts, and crack clues to uncover who stole the museum’s watermelon from the Edible Garden. It’s a week of mystery, adventure, and brain-teasing fun.
Studio in the Park (6–8-year-olds only)
June 16 -20 and July 21 – 25
Join our art camp based in the museum’s Studio in the Oaks – Nature + Art + Science will fill this week with creativity and fun.
