Friday, December 9 marked the sixth annual “People’s Health Renaissance Party” presented by the Louisiana chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The historical Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel housed this year’s event. Event co-chairs Jill Varney, Allison Tiller and Scott Duggins contributed in creating another successful National Multiple Sclerosis Society fundraising event.
The evening included a multitude of fine eats, drinks and art. Specialty pieces created by local artists were featured in the evening’s silent and live auctions. Vacations, jewelry and dinners were a few of the other noteworthy auction items.
Guests also enjoyed the evening’s musical entertainment provided by the versatile 12-member Louisiana Spice.
The party’s proceeds went to assisting the men, women and children most affected by the repercussions of multiple sclerosis. Since its inception, the Renaissance Party has generated over $650,000 for research, education and advocacy for those living with multiple sclerosis, as well as their families.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society aims to destroy the debilitating disease and assist those currently facing its immobilizing effects.
