Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. charitable revelers gathered at the Renaissance Arts Hotel (700 Tchoupitoulas St.) for the Renaissance Festival presented by People’s Health. The event, benefiting The National Multiple Sclerosis Society Louisiana Chapter, raised over $225,000.
The evening’s festivities also included live and silent auctions, with over 300 items for bid including pieces of jewelry, vacation packages, autographed sports memorabilia and art from local craftsmen. Partygoers danced to the music of Bobby J & Stuff Like That.
Suzanne Alford, Christian Blessey and Peggy Wilson served as event chairs. Event sponsors included Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles, Chevron, Auto-Chlor, Regions Bank, the Perkin Fund, River Parish Disposal, Alford Advertising, the Goldring Family Foundation and WWL TV.
