Restaurant R’evolution National Oyster Day Specials

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – In celebration of National Oyster Day on Aug. 5, Restaurant R’evolution and Desire Oyster Bar announced specialty oyster menus on Friday, Aug. 1, that will be available throughout the month of August. 

Featuring three oysters, all sourced from the Gulf, Restaurant R’evolution’s menu will include R’evolution Reds, a private labeled oyster offered exclusively at Restaurant R’evolution, served raw to showcase the mildly briny and earthy flavor; a fire-roasted oyster topped with jumbo lump crab, dill and tomato bearnaise; and a fried oyster prepared with a brown butter poached tomato and horseradish aioli. 

For more casual fare, Desire Oyster Bar will feature an Oyster Shooter made with Grey Goose Vodka, tomato juice, horseradish and Worcestershire; Chargrilled Oysters Etouffee featuring a classic Cajun etouffee sauce, parmesan and parsley; and two variations of fried oysters including the Firecracker Oysters featuring fried oysters tossed in a house made buffalo sauce topped with blue cheese crumbles, and Peppers, Pigs & Pearls served with a jalapeño pepper jelly glaze and crispy bacon crumbles.
