Réveillon Revival at Ralph’s on the Park + Christmas Eve at Brennan’s

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – New Orleans is the place where its citizenry lives to eat – many would say that the city’s whole identity is based purely on its food. In the 19th century, New Orleans established its identifiable cuisine after multiple countries and cultures presided over the city, shaping the way locals dine and embrace gastronomic traditions. This holiday season, the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group invites guests to celebrate New Orleans style with a special Réveillon Dinner Menu at Ralph’s on the Park and a festive, feastful three-course meal on Christmas Eve at Brennan’s.
The Réveillon tradition has ‘reawakened’ and been transformed at Ralph’s on the Park, from December 1-23, 2022, in the evenings. A customary celebration, the four-course Réveillon dinner [$75++] is served over the Christmas holiday, when the city is aglow with bright lanterns and decorated iron-laced balconies. Today, Réveillon has maintained a true sense of taste, honoring the city’s culinary heritage. Executive Chef Knut Mjelde shares a menu of beloved classics including Turtle Soup; Crab Crusted Fish with Crab Fat Rice, Shrimp and Crab Velouté; Grilled FiletRoasted Root Vegetables, Foie Gras Demi-Glace, and a Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie. Ralph’s on the Park is a cornerstone establishment in New Orleans, where innovation takes on the customary Réveillon dishes, ever so slightly altered from the coveted repertoire of recipes dating back over a century.

The spirited three-course holiday menu [$85++] at Brennan’s from Executive Chef Ryan Hacker will mix tradition with bold surprises. Indulge in stunning starters like the luscious Cavatelli featuring Duck Confit, Wild Mushroom Ragu, and Winter Squashor the Foie Gras Terrine  with a Cherry &Macadamia Nut Chutney, and Cornbread Madeleines. Satisfying, savory entrées include dishes like the Pomegranate Braised Short Rib with Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Turnip Purée, and Marcona Almonds or theTrout à la Poêle with Jumbo Lump Crab, Preserved Tomato, Capers, Artichokesand Lemon Butter.

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, bites and beverages beckon!
