Balance is key to Rhonda Bagby, who leads Humana’s Louisiana employer-focused business, including group sales and distribution, customer retention, wellness strategies, and external relationship management. At sixteen, Bagby started working at a hospital and learning the business side of healthcare. After later working as a CPA, she naturally gravitated toward the business of helping people while holding various leadership positions in finance, operations, and sales.
As the healthcare industry became more focused on preventative health and wellness, so did Bagby. She set out to reinforce her knowledge, effectiveness, and credibility outside of a traditional business scope.
Bagby’s business acumen, innate generosity, and an interest in health and wellness has resulted in a unique skillset that sets her apart. She is one of fewer than a dozen Louisiana-based, certified Athlete Development Specialists. She is also a Certified Health Coach specializing in adult health and longevity. She holds both an MBA and a graduate degree in Sports Management.
Balancing a family life and raising her children while cultivating new professional skills and staying involved in the community as a board member, volunteer, and donor has been one of the highlights of Bagby’s career. She currently serves as chairman of the Board for the Northshore Business Council and is past-Chair of the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce.
