“The Show Must Go On” Theatre Intensive
June 15-July 3, entering 6th gr & up
We’ll have you on your feet singing, dancing, writing, working on scenes all day long! Students will work in 4 different spaces, both studios at Encore and both theaters at Rivertown.
Students will be teamed up in small groups based on level, and will work in those groups for the duration of camp due to health and safety guidelines.
We have a 3 page document outlining our Covid procedures and safety measures. Please ask if interested in viewing before enrolling.
– Work with 5 choreographers, 2 musical directors and a director.
– Learn original Broadway choreography
– Create your own scenes
– Expand your musical theatre knowledge by exploring a wide variety of musical theatre styles, history and eras.
Disney on Broadway, A Celebration in Revue
July 6-26, entering 3rd gr and up
“Be our guest” for Disney on Broadway! All your favorite hits in one big show. A fun and educational summer camp giving kids the opportunity to sing, dance, and perform their favorite songs from Disney Broadway musicals! Children will learn choreography and songs from well-known Disney Broadway musicals such as Newsies, Tarzan, Peter Pan, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid and more. We’ll also throw in some favorite production numbers from Disney movies. Each day includes singing, dancing, rehearsals, and theatre games led by professional choreographers and musical directors. The 3 weeks culminate in stage performances at Rivertown Theaters. Students will work in small groups by level so that we can adhere to social distancing guidelines set forth by the state and CDC.
This musical revue will give students the opportunity to sing and dance styles beyond the traditional musical theatre camp. Solo and group numbers from tap to hip hop and everything in between! Come have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah good time with us this July!
Broadway Baby Camp
July 20-24, entering K-2nd grade
1-week half day mini-camp perfect for students who want an introduction into the world of musical theater to learn what it takes to perform in a show. Campers will perform their production number on stage at Rivertown Theaters. Themed dress up days and theatrical crafts add to the fun!
