The second annual Goldring-Woldenberg Major Donor Dinner on Thursday, January 19 celebrated the 57 men and women in attendance who had donated over $10,000 each to the 2012 annual Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans Campaign. Dinner hosts Darryl and Louellen Berger; event co-chairs Brian and Lisa Katz and Allan and Nancy Bissinger; along with the 2012 campaign co-chairs Karen and Leopold Sher and Lou and Susan Good were among the contributors who honored donors at this black-tie affair in the La Chinoiserie Room at the Windsor Court Hotel such a success.
The evening began with passed hors d’oeuvres and an open bar compliments of the Sazerac Company. Dinner included local organic greens drizzled with a fig vinaigrette, followed by baked seabass topped with a ginger-citrus beurre. For dessert, guests indulged in chocolate truffles and the Windsor Court Hotel’s token crème brulée. The hotel’s La Chinoiserie Room was decorated with ivory linens and roses arranged by Carole Katz. Chef David Slater, the chef de cuisine at Emeril’s Restaurant, spoke to guests about his to travels to Israel as a part of the Jewish Federation’s 2011 Chef Exchange.
The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans provides a cornerstone for the Jewish Community in the greater New Orleans area by dedicating itself to formulating and maintaining the area’s Jewish community through tradition.
