Sandestin Wine Festival

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sandestin Wine Festival has been cancelled for 2020. The festival will return as normal April 15-18, 2021.

April is a highly anticipated month for local and visiting wine enthusiasts along Florida’s Emerald Coast, home to the “Kentucky Derby of Wine Festivals.” Now in its 34th year, the popular Sandestin Wine Festival returns this April 16-19 to provide a long weekend of picture-perfect events, flowing wine, gourmet food, and live music at The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. The most established and continuously running wine festival on the coast, the Sandestin Wine Festival includes one-of-a-kind seminars, exclusive wine dinners, decadent experiences, and its main event, the Grand Wine Tastings, which showcase more than 500+ domestic and international wines over a two-day span.

“As we look back over the years, it’s absolutely amazing to see how this festival has aged to perfection,” says Leighann Elliott, Event & Marketing Manager at The Village of Baytowne Wharf. “It is evident by the continued success of this event that thousands of people know there is no substitute for the Sandestin Wine Festival and its charming setting within the Village of Baytowne Wharf,” she says.

Events kick off on Thursday, April 16, with the official kick-off party, where guests will enjoy samples from The Village door plus a special tasting presentation by Timber Creek Distillery. On Friday (5 p.m. – 8 p.m.) and Saturday (1 p.m. – 4 p.m.), the Grand Wine Tastings will bring wine enthusiasts and makers together for hours of tasting and talking wine. Sprinkled throughout the grounds, Savor South Walton tents allow guests to pair delectable bite-sized appetizers from some of the Emerald Coast’s best chefs with their current glass selection. The new Bubbly & Boozy tent returns to the Grand Sandestin Lawn with a selection of bubbles and specialty liquors, as well as desserts galore.

“This event continues to bring a wide range of experiences for all guests including meeting wine experts from across the globe and having the opportunity to taste unique, hand-selected wines,” says Elliott. In addition to the Grand Wine Tastings, optional ticketed events include exclusive wine dinners, the 4th annual Champagne & Seafood Voyage lunch cruise, yoga and mimosas on the beach, and a Sunday Bubbly Brunch.

Proceeds from the Sandestin Wine Festival will be donated to the Fisher House, an organization that provides free or low-cost lodging to veterans and military families receiving treatment at military medical centers, and Sandestin Foundation for Kids, whose goal is to make a meaningful and positive difference in children’s lives.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort provides the convenience of having accommodations mere steps or a convenient complimentary tram ride away from the festival.
