New Orleans Magazine's Scavenger Hunt

Celebrate the city with a hometown scavenger hunt sponsored by Celebrate Canal! From indoor air-conditioned play to educational experiences, art, culture, food and more, we’ve mapped out a plan for fun experiences to enjoy throughout the month all on Canal Street. Grab your thinking cap and your camera (phone) and start exploring!

How to Play:

  • Complete at least 10 tasks between July 1 and July 31 (download here)
  • Snap a photo & submit it in the form below
  • You can submit an unlimited number of photos once per day. If you forget a photo in your upload, you can re-upload it the next day
  • In the caption of each photo, write the item completed. (ie. under the historic Alder’s clock)
  • If you complete all of these steps, you will be entered to win prizes
  • Have fun and don’t forget to tag @neworleansmag and @celebratecanal
 

Prizes:

Complete the scavenger hunt, and you will be entered to win:

  • 1-night stay at the Rubenstein Hotel
  • Biscuit & Beignet making class for up to 6 people at Ruby Slipper on Canal Street
  • 2 tickets to Kimberly Akimbo at the Saenger Theater – our first Broadway show of the season
  • 2-night stay with access to our Sheraton Club at the Sheraton Hotel New Orleans
  • Grand Prize: $1,000 cash to the person who submits the greatest number of items! Only 1 photo per checklist item. If there is a tie and more than one person(s) have collected the same number of items, one winner will be chosen at random to receive $1,000 cash. 

Further Details:

  • By participating in The Great New Orleans Scavenger, you give Renaissance Publishing permission to use your submitted photos and/or name in promotion and printing.
  • All photos will be reviewed by the staff at Renaissance Publishing before being published onto our website gallery. Photos deemed inappropriate will not be published.
  • You can submit up to 31 photos once per day. If you forget a photo in your upload, you can reupload it the next day.
  • The winners of each prize will be notified via email by August 8, 2025. Each winner will have three days to accept the prize, or another winner will be chosen.
