Children’s Hospital New Orleans is proud to welcome Dr. Scott McMurray to lead its Pediatric Otolaryngology Department with eight fulltime fellowship trained Pediatric Otolaryngologists devoted to treating ear, nose, and throat afflictions in children.
Dr. McMurray brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Children’s while also serving as Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at LSU and Tulane. His special interests are in voice, swallow, and airway.
“There is nothing that impacts a person more than the ability to breath, eat and communicate” he says. “With the proper approach, assessment and intervention, a child may reach their ultimate potential.”
Children’s Hospital offers advanced video-endoscopy for evaluating the aerodigestive tract of children with breathing and swallowing problems. And, as an integral member of the hospital’s Aerodigestive Program, Dr. McMurray is able to work closely with other specialists on comprehensive evaluation and treatment plans for children with complex issues.
