Seaside Wining & Dining Returns to South Walton with the 34th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival

One of the Gulf Coast’s most anticipated events is back—this year will mark the 34th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival, the most established and continuously running wine festival on the coast. With its cool beach breezes and gorgeous sunsets, springtime is ideal for sipping wine along Florida’s Emerald Coast. Wine enthusiasts, experts and fans will return to the charming setting of Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort across the four-day weekend of April 15-18, 2021 for a variety of events and tastings.

Part of the South Walton experience, this unique, educational and relaxing festival experience has become a tradition for locals and visitors alike. A picture-perfect series of events—complete with white tents, flowing wine, gourmet food and live music—includes one-of-a-kind seminars, wine dinners, tastings, and culinary experiences. The main events, the Grand Wine Tastings, showcase more than 500+ domestic and international wines over a two-day span. Guests can chat with vineyard owners and winemakers about their favorite appellations while trying something new. Meanwhile, Savor South Walton tents are sprinkled across the festival, allowing guests to pair delectable appetizers from celebrated Emerald Coast chefs with their current glass selection.

“These tents focus on the food and culture of the Emerald Coast,” says Leighann Elliott, Events Manager for Village of Baytowne Wharf. “The Sandestin Wine Festival gives us an opportunity to truly show off all South Walton has to offer.”

The Bubbly & Boozy tent returns to the Grand Sandestin Lawn and features bubbles, specialty liquors, and desserts galore. In addition to Friday and Saturday’s Grand Tastings, other highlights include the Kickoff Party on Thursday, April 15. On Saturday, enjoy a seaside yoga session followed by mimosas along the beach. The weekend concludes with a festive brunch on Sunday, April 18, with—you guessed it—bottomless mimosas as well as screwdrivers, bloody marys, and other brunch favorites.

Known as the “Kentucky Derby of Wine Festivals,” the 34th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival benefits the Fisher House of the Emerald Coast and Sandestin Foundation for Kids. Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort provides the convenience of accommodations just steps or a convenient complimentary tram ride away from the festival. Packages with discounted accommodations and tickets are available.
