While sitting at your favorite bar and partaking of a carefully crafted, perfectly balanced cocktail remains a dream, you can still pick up a pre-mixed version without booze. Or, better yet, mix up a batch of your own specialty!
I met Quinn Richard a few years ago, and have had him create cocktails for every party we’ve had since. He tailors them to the mood (Christmas, my husband’s 40th birthday, etc.) and I can tell you that no matter what else is on offer (from vintage champagne to carefully decanted Bordeaux), the cocktails Quinn makes always go first.
So, since one cocktail leads to two, and there may be more than one-person drinking, Quinn has shared the recipe for his “A NOLA Summer” below (serving 10-12. And Cocktail+Creative is selling elixirs through its website with instructions for just-add-booze experiences, cards and more – Quinn even shared a 10 percent discount code below exclusively for our readers!
What is Cocktail+Creative Co.?
We are a curated cocktail catering company. We help our clients make all their event cocktail and bar dreams come true.
We start by sending out a flavor profile for the client to fill out. Then we try to schedule a date with the client for a tasting of 5-6 curated cocktails based off of their profile.
We handle it from there! Now they have a perfectly curated cocktail menu. From action stations – like boozy snowballs – to a smoked fig and sage Old Fashioned bar, we strive to make every event curated and personal with all the jovial personalities of our bartenders to bring the fun to the party.
How did you come up with the idea for it?
I wanted to create an event bar experience that wasn’t an afterthought, one that had a lux, ultra-curated feel. And I wanted to set out to include knowledgeable crew members that would be fun behind the bar as well.
What’s your favorite cocktail to make at home and why?
You could ask me this 20 times a year, multiple times a season and I’d have a different answer.
Right now I’m into a 50/50 blend of Campari and Aperol topped with coconut sparkling water and a squeeze of whatever fresh fruit is still available. I’m also loving the Cocktail+Creative Cocktail Elixirs and Shandys.
How can people reach you to order?
