The A’s & Aces nonprofit organization and philanthropic group brought patrons together for their fourth annual Gala at the New Orleans Lawn and Tennis Club on Saturday, November 12. Anna Monhartova and Allison Petit collaborated to co-chair this wonderful event whose proceeds assist the New Orleans public school students that the A’s & Aces serve.
Attendees enjoyed an open bar and an array of food provided by several delectable restaurants from around the city, such as Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House, Chef John Besh’s Lüke and Lucy’s Retired Surfer Bar and Restaurant. While some danced the night away to the sounds of live jazz played by Eudora Evans and Deep Soul, others participated in an auction including items provided by the Roosevelt Hotel, Audubon Institute, Perlis, and many more.
The A’s & Aces nonprofit organization aims to enhance the lives of underprivileged New Orleans Public School students by providing programs that use tennis and the First Serve Life Skills Curriculum to assist children in their academics and athletics. The A’s & Aces hope to put a stop to illiteracy and obesity in children by touching the lives of over 450 students in New Orleans public schools every year.
