A warm setup of ivory linens topped with rose centerpieces at the Windsor Court Hotel greeted 50 major donors to the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans’ Annual Campaign on January 27. The first-ever Goldring-Woldenberg Major Donor Dinner fêted those who donated at least $10,000 to the annual campaign.
The black tie event featured passed hors d’oeuvres and an open bar with wine provided by Republic National Distributing Company. Guests dined on a Bibb lettuce salad, grouper with Parmesan risotto and a dessert trio. They enjoyed music provided by Leah Chase with the Michael Pellera Trio. Event co-chairs Carole and Morton Katz made the dinner a grand success.
Cathy and Morris Bart served as the co-chairs of the annual campaign, which supports the building of an active Jewish community in Greater New Orleans, in Israel and in 59 other countries. The campaign raises funds for family life, children’s Jewish education, care for the elderly and more. Thirty percent of funds are allocated overseas, while the rest stays local.
