Shalom Y’all Means All Y’all Pride Panel

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – This Pride Month, Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience (MSJE) will host a virtual panel with the founders of Southern Jewish LGBTQ+ groups to share the stories of how these communities came to be. The panel will include speakers from SOJOURN in Atlanta and JPNOLA in New Orleans who’ll explore why they saw a need for Jewish queer groups in the region, what existed before, how they got started, and the work they’re doing now in this niche and important space.

Through this conversation, MSJE seeks to investigate how Jewish Southern LGBTQ+ history is made, and how it is preserved, saved, and shared with future generations.

This is a free, online event! Register here for the Zoom link.

Tuesday, June 20, at 6:30 p.m. Central
