Shoppin' for Hardware in the French Quarter

Tom Wood is owner of Mary's Ace Hardware in the French Quarter. Tom started the business in 1983 and has been serving the hardware needs of the French Quarter and CBD ever since. Tom recently moved from his original Bourbon Street location to a more modern-looking, fully renovated building on North Rampart Street where he has more space for his wares. Although he owns a hardware store that has become something of an institution in the French Quarter, Tom has other interests besides hardware. He describes some of his other businesses and recounts how he started that famous Mardi Gras dog parade we all love, Barkus. Listen here!
